2006 • Sholomo Ben-Ami • Norman Finkelstein • Israel-Palestine

Sholomo Ben-Ami, former Israeli Foreign Minister, debates Norman G. Finkelstein, a critic of Israel and the 'occupation' on the Camp David (2000) and Taba (2001) accords. While Finkelstein contends that Israel proposed only a myth of a generous offer, Ben-Ami insists that the generosity of his country, spurned by the Palestinians for its infamous intifada, was indeed genuine.

In another development, the Guardian reported in May 2008 that Finkelstein was banned from Israel for 10 years for alleged links with Hezbollah and Al-Qaida.
