911 Revisited • Were Explosives Used?

Nallini and the Free-fall formula:-

I learnt from Nallini, a schoolgirl physics buff, that ‘Free-fall’ is a term applied to a falling object influenced by gravity of the earth and such gravity, in absence of upward resistance of any form, produces a downward acceleration of 32 feet per second and thereafter the object accelerates downwards by 32 feet every subsequent second until it hits ground.

She simplified that an object free-falls at 32 feet per second in the 1st second, 64 feet per second in the 2nd second, 96 feet per second in the 3rd second, 118 feet per second in the 4th second, 150 feet per second in the 5th second and so forth. 

The schoolgirl said the basic physics equation for Free-fall Speed or Time is [2 x Distance (Height) ÷ Gravity x Time²]. 

She helped me calculate the Free-fall Speed for 1355 feet, the average height (or Distance) of the fallen Towers. Distance she said is a variable, therefore, you may plug in any given figure, such as the height of your building you want ‘pulled’ and the formula generates the Free-fall Speed (or Time). Gravity is a constant at 32 (feet per second) but Time² (squared) varies with Distance. 

With her little Casio, she arrives at Time² [2 x Distance ÷ Gravity]

∴ Time² = 2 x 1355 ÷ 32

∴ Time² = 84.69 

∴ Time = √84.69 (square-root of 84.69)

∴ Time (or Free-fall Speed) = 9.2

Being enlightened by the schoolgirl physics buff, that 9.2 seconds is the Free-fall Speed for a height of 1355 feet, I asked her to apply imagination to her teenaged intellect and explain the general narrative of full grown adults that 110 floors of the Towers collapsed in less than 10 seconds due to ‘structural failure’ caused by ‘intense heat.’

The teenager smiled and said it would stupid of a physicist to adopt such a position but it would be ignorance on the part of anyone but a physicist to ignore such a basic physics equation.

In closing, I asked her a ‘one bullet’ question. "Nallini dear, between a stupid and an ignorant person, who would you take out - who would you keep alive?"

She replied that, as a Hindu, she loves both the Stupid and Ignorant but if she is pressed for an answer, she would rely on the good Torah that says it is the Stupid, not the Ignorant, that deserves to be spared.
