Israel's Indefensible Borders • The Samson Option • ©2011 JCPA

Israel's indefensible borders are beginning to summon its Samson Option. Order aides Samson while Anarchy aides Fundamentalism. Order is a Condition while Anarchy is a Force. Samson avoids Force but incrementally compromises his tradition as Fundamentalism threatens him with Anarchy. Fundamentalism aided by Anarchy is leading towards pole while Samson the 'orderly' pacifist, is trailing, but then history demonstrates the dire consequences that enfold when Samson sets aside his tradition and aligns himself with Anarchy.

Moral of the story:- Anarchy does not discern. It serves no one in particular.

Afterword: The video was re-posted from The Jerusalem Center For Public Affairs and used without permission. The Samson Option is a book by Seymour M. Hersh. Inspired by the biblical figure who brought down a Philistine temple, killing himself and thousands of Philistine enemies, Hersh alludes the phrase to Israel’s strategy of retaliation should its existence be jeopardized through military attack.
